I chose Piccolo Catalunya for its close proximity to the Museo Casa Manno. The private parking was a pleasant surprise, and I enjoyed exploring the lively old town with its fantastic restaurants, bars, and shops.
The air conditioner couldn't be controlled from the room, and communication with the reception was difficult due to limited English. The reception desk is located a 7-minute walk away, and the lack of common areas and proper kitchen facilities made it feel more like a hotel than a hostel.

Loved the quiet neighborhood, accessible to the lively old town and beaches. The hostel had AC, comfy rooms, and free WiFi. Had the chance to make new friends.
Didn't like the fact that you have to wait for the bathroom mirror! So inconvenient.

During my recent stay at Piccolo Catalunya, I was impressed by the excellent database of amenities available. The reception staff was friendly and efficient, making me feel welcomed right from the start. The spacious room was a definite highlight, providing ample space to move around and relax after a long day of exploring the stunning city of Alghero. It was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
One minor drawback that I encountered during my stay was the check-in process. I had to go to a separate location from the hostel to check in, which was a bit inconvenient.

Activities: The variety of activities offered at the hostel was simply amazing! From scuba diving to horse riding, there was never a dull moment. I even tried stand up paddling and felt like a pro! The possibilities were endless, just like the flavors in an ice cream parlor.
Air Conditioner: The only minor issue I encountered was with the air conditioner in the room. It couldn't be controlled from the room itself, which was a bit inconvenient.

The private room with a private bathroom at Piccolo Catalunya Hostel was absolutely amazing! The room had a cozy feel, with comfortable furniture and a lovely tile floor. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot days, ensuring a cool and refreshing stay. As someone who values privacy and a peaceful environment, this room exceeded all my expectations.
I personally didn't enjoy the soundproofing in the room. It made the space feel a bit isolated from the rest of the hostel, and I missed the vibrant atmosphere that comes with interacting with fellow travelers.

Oh, just a small detail: No show, no penalty. Because who needs accountability, right?
